MODERATORS
Obviously I would prefer my friend get into a ketogenic metabolism rather then loading up on exogenous ketones, but they are unable to change their eating pattern, so this is a harm reduction strategy
Downsides:
- Extra fat in the body (not burning stored fat)
- Oxidative stress from the oil
- Plant Sterols in the oil (interfering with cholesterol)
- expense
- This isn't ketosis, it wont help with blood glucose and insulin
Upsides:
- Energy for the brain that bypasses high insulin resistance
