From important information about Google's abuse of power, to fun projects like the good old Snake. My code is clean.

NO GOOGLE TRACK: Here I have written down the information I collected about Google, especially Project Nimbus, which supported genocide. All information is backed by sources. The page also lists alternatives, as well as security measures using uBlock Origin and the about:config menu in Firefox and LibreWolf.

GHOST SEARCH: A Fun-Project where it looks like you are hacking Google and Bing to get answers undetected without giving them any data. So, a search engine of my dreams 😁. Don't worry, this is just a joke. You aren't hacking anything at all. The actual search is powered by Mojeek a privacy-friendly search engine that does not engage in profiling. Ghost Search is essentially my parody of DuckDuckGo & Startpage, which claim to be secure but get their answers from Microsoft and Google.

SNAKE-RETRO: Kids from the 80s and 90s probably know this. The good old Snake. Since we live in an era of tracking, even on retro game sites, I wanted to look back to a time when games were just games. So I thought, "Come on, dare to try making a retro game without any trackers," and I succeeded. Hope you have fun! 😊

All my projects are in German. Still, I hope you'll understand everything correctly thanks to your browser's automatic translation settings.

in the interest of reciprocity from someone who was once "terminally online": educate yourself on the tribalism of the lemmyverse:

lemmy was created by leftists who had a strong interest on gnu/foss technologies; but the recent reddit user purges has swelled the number of lemmy users. the new users are almost entirely liberal and the trolls among them have turned this instance into a hotbed of political tribalism enough that many leftists have chosen to re-home their memberships to hexbear.net or lemmygrad.ml instances. likewise, the most ardent liberals have created piefed to avoid exposure to leftist political theory.

the people of this and most of the gnu/foss communities on this instance seem to do their best to stay politically neutral, as the lemmy developers try to do as well.

Thanks for explaining! Honestly, I'm not familiar with political labels like 'left' or 'liberal'. I actually had to look them up before replying 😅. So I'm not sure where I fit in.

For me, data privacy is just about being practical and ethical. I hate it when big corps like Google use my data for things I can't control, like military projects. It makes me angry, when they turn a tiny mosquito into a weapon. I see that happening with AI too. I'm against that.

I don't know if that makes me 'left' or 'liberal'😅. My goal on forums like Lemmy is simply to find like-minded people, who share this ethical approach and to make friends there😊. Thats it.

the labels usually don't matter much in the technology centric communities; what matters here is this part:
