I believe this is the first time I've seen a Calvin and Hobbes strip which not only doesn't contain Calvin or Hobbes, but doesn't even reference them.
Calvin and Hobbes
Hello fellow Calvin and Hobbes fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.

Sometimes I feel lucky to have been homeless when I was 17-20 because I don't relate to this.
Sorry that happened
The homeless are at higher risk of violence and theft of their property despite already having so little.
I was also homeless in my late teens and it didn’t worry me then because I was young and strong and had nothing to lose.
The risk of break ins now weighs heavily on my mind despite the lower risk of violence or theft than I previously experienced but that’s because I have a family I need to protect.
I guess the same applies to being relatively poor, it's really not worth breaking into my flat, there's barely anything of value in there anyways.
You're never safe. Life is kayaking on raging waters, you do your best to keep upright, but sometimes shit happens, and then you deal with it as best as you can.
