Because Israel isn't that big of a country. The countries around them are held back in part because the support of the US and EU is just that big of a stick. Economic sanctions alone can be very rough and actual military support is insane. Not so great at making any good lasting changes but toppling the Iraqi government was very fast. US coalition invaded March 20, Baghdad fell in April 9, a new government was in place by September 3, and Saddam captured December 13. Obviously things are different nowadays with drones and population willingness to deal with the maimed/dead and domestic price increases.
Now if there's Chinese or Russian support then things may change. Russia is still tied up with Ukraine and China is relatively neutral because they don't have that much skin in that area yet.
The US also supports every country around Israel with some form of aid. Meaning you aren’t just getting economic sanctions but major funding pulled.
$245 million to Egypt, $496 million to Lebanon, $1.82 Billion to Jordan. You get the picture.
China is fairly pro-palestine from what I have read, which is weird since I would guess the more legitimate Israel’s claims on Palestine would make their claim over Taiwan more legitimate.

As an American, fuck the US entirely. We are vassal of the fascist State of Israel and the entire world should be protesting us.

I completely understand and agree with sentiment of holding the sign. But I'm a bit conflicted about this since I don't feel like this is the moment to do it.
For context once a year we have a day for Remembrance of the Dead. This particular moment is 1 minute of silence at 20:00 that the entire country holds for this.
In the ceremony that proceeds they usually also mention the people that lost their lives in different wars across the globe which probably includes Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and more.
So yes I think our government should do more against Israel, but I'm conflicted about this time and place.
Holding a performative vigil for victims of a previous genocide while being complicit in a new one... That is turning the Holocaust into a hollow cause.
Plus Eichmann himself would be in that vigil if alive today. Puzzling, right?
