PressTV: Two missiles hit US Navy vessel after it ignored Iran's warning: Report
So this just happened! Looks like this time around they ignored Iran's warnings for just a little bit too long when playing chicken with the Hormuz defences and didn't turn around in time.
CENTCOM is denying this but it's being reported by Fars and Al-Jazeera as well, I imagine we'll have more information soon. I'd love to find out what weapons were used and the circumstances of the strike - I'm assuming that this is an Arleigh Burke. Sending in a ship for this kind of high-risk political signaling must be really unpopular in US military circles, no faster way to tank morale than to take wild and unjustified risks with sailors' lives for media stunts.
This could spark out of control fast unless the US decides to continue denying it to save face and then de-escalates. Let's see.
Iran's proposal to the US to end the war, according to Al Mayadeen:
- Ending the blockade
- Freedom to export oil
- Ceasefire in Lebanon
- Removing US sanctions
- Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz
- Unfreezing Iranian assets
https://t.me/FotrosResistancee/21576

🔴 Iran has created a power leverage against America's greed by strategically controlling the Strait of Hormuz
🔹International experts emphasize that Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for a quarter of the world's maritime oil and a huge volume of gas and fertilizer, is not only a legitimate defensive right but also a powerful leverage against the maximum pressure exerted by the US.
🔹According to Al Jazeera, Iran, by smartly disrupting the passage of hostile ships without attacking neutral vessels, has been able to impose heavy costs on the economy of the US and its allies.
🔹This strategic move has placed Tehran in a position to resist Washington's unreasonable demands, such as the complete halt of the nuclear program.
🔹The reduction of oil tanker traffic from 129 vessels in February to nearly zero indicates the effectiveness of this defensive policy and the West's vulnerability to energy shocks.
⭐️French presidential candidate, Jean-Luc Mélenchon:
We will leave NATO. NATO is useless. It serves only one thing - putting us under American supervision.
Israel is the most dangerous country in the region today. It is Israel that attacks all its neighbors. It is Israel that starts wars. It is Israel that commits genocide. When I say Israel, I mean the Netanyahu government.
🇮🇷| The IRGC Navy announced in its official statement that from now on, any attack on Iranian oil tankers will be responded to with an attack on US military bases.

💠 Geopolitical analyst and former U.S. Army officer:
🔹 It is unlikely that Trump will restart the "Freedom Project," as on Monday three U.S. Navy destroyers, just like the Abraham Lincoln carrier on the first day of the war, were heavily attacked by Iranian subsonic cruise missiles and had to use their Phalanx point-defense systems to shoot them down at close range.
🔹 What most people don't realize is that Iran has not yet deployed its supersonic and hypersonic anti-ship missiles, and if they wanted to, they could have easily sunk our three destroyers in the Persian Gulf.
🔹 Iranian leaders are by no means crazy; rather, they act with restraint and demonstrate that they have maintained their dominance over the United States without escalating real tensions.
— 🇮🇱 It’s now 2026, a reality check for Israel after 3 years of war:
🇵🇸 Gaza front:
– Hamas has not been disarmed after almost three years of war.
– Tunnel infrastructure in Gaza is intact, rocket arrays being slowly rebuilt.
– Al-Qassam has approximately 25,000 fighters, the same amount as before Oct 7th.
– No sign of an interim government, Hamas is still politically in control of Gaza.
🇱🇧 Lebanon front:
– Hezbollah has not been disarmed, neither North nor South of the Litani.
– Hezbollah’s leadership has successfully reorganized and decentralized, and is now more resistant to assassination strikes than before.
– Hezbollah retains the capability to launch long-range and medium-range rockets, drones and missiles into Israel.
– The increasing use of FPV drones has rendered northern Israeli settlements into ghost towns, and significantly degraded the IDF’s freedom of movement in southern Lebanon.
🇮🇷 Iran front:
– The Islamic Republic is still firmly in power, and perhaps even more entrenched than before.
– Iran’s ballistic missile program, drone force, and conventional capabilities are almost entirely intact and capable of threatening Israel.
– Iran still possesses a large stockpile of highly-enriched uranium, nuclear breakout time is still at ~6 months to a year.
– The Strait of Hormuz is now under Iranian control.
– Most U.S. bases in the region have been rendered unusable and Israel’s Gulf allies are in the weakest position they’ve ever found themselves.
🇾🇪 Yemen front:
– Ansarallah (Houthis) still control the majority of Yemen.
– Houthis still possess hundreds of ballistic missiles and thousands of drones, capable of targeting Israel.
– The Bab Al-Mandab can be closed at any moment.
In strategic terms, Israel has achieved nothing in all these three years.
Except the destruction of Gaza’s civilian population and infrastructure.
⭕️ Even the dead are not spared: Israeli settlers force Palestinian family to exhume father hours after burial near re-established Sa-Nur settlement
In one of the most disturbing incidents reported in the occupied West Bank in recent months, a Palestinian family from the village of al-Asasa near Jenin says Israeli settlers forced them to dig up and rebury their 80-year-old father just hours after his funeral on Friday.
The burial had been coordinated in advance with Israeli forces and took place in a long-standing cemetery on privately owned Palestinian land.
Roughly an hour after the funeral, settlers from the recently re-established, illegal Sa-Nur settlement arrived carrying shovels and began digging around the fresh grave, shouting that the body had to be removed because it was allegedly “too close” to the settlement.
Israeli occupation forces were present and confiscated some of the tools, but did not remove the settlers or stop the harassment. Fearing that their father’s remains would be desecrated, the grieving family was forced to exhume the body themselves and transport it to another village for reburial.
The cemetery lies outside the settlement’s official boundaries, but the area is now under increasing pressure following Israel’s re-establishment of Sa-Nur, one of four settlements evacuated in 2005.
Israeli ministers and settler leaders have openly celebrated Sa-Nur’s return as part of a broader drive to expand settlements across the occupied West Bank and eliminate the possibility of a Palestinian state.
The UN human rights office condemned the incident as part of a wider pattern of the “dehumanization of Palestinians.” For many Palestinians, the message was unmistakable: under occupation, not even the dead are allowed to remain in peace.

📸 Iran's Mission to the UN says that a permanent end to the war and the lifting of the maritime blockade is the only viable solution in the Strait of Hormuz.
🔹 Iran calls on UN member states to act on the basis of logic, fairness and principle, not pressure, reject the US's politically motivated UNSC draft resolution, and refrain from supporting or co-sponsoring it.
🇮🇷| Iran is considering to treat undersea internet cables passing through the Strait of Hormoz as a strategic asset.
According to Fars, the authority Iran is establishing in the Strait of Hormoz will also include global internet cables deep down in the Strait.
These cables carry global internet traffic and financial data. Iran is looking to require permits, charge fees, and have Iranian laws applied to foreign companies, and give Iranian firms technical control over cable management and repairs.

May ISrael and all of the countries that support this genocidal entity collapse soon enough.
❗️Google DeepMind workers unionize to block AI deployment in US-Israeli warfare
In a landmark challenge to the tech giant’s military ambitions, hundreds of workers at Google’s elite artificial intelligence division have voted to unionize over the use of their technology in Israeli and US military operations. Represented by the Communication Workers Union and Unite, the London-based staff are demanding an immediate halt to AI projects aiding Israel’s genocide in Gaza and US-Israeli attacks on Iran. The move represents the first major unionization effort at a global "frontier AI" lab, with 98 percent of participating members backing the drive to regain ethical control over their research.
The unionization bid seeks to restore scrapped pledges against the development of autonomous weaponry and surveillance tools while establishing a formal right for researchers to conscientiously object to projects. Workers have warned that Google’s AI models are currently complicit in violations of international law, arguing that even administrative applications of the technology serve to make the genocide of Palestinians more efficient. Beyond official recognition, staff are weighing further escalations including "research strikes" to prevent their innovations from being funneled into the military-industrial complex.
This internal revolt follows years of escalating tension within Google, including the firing of dozens of employees who protested Project Nimbus, a massive cloud computing contract with the Israeli government. Organizers describe the union drive as a pivotal act of solidarity with oppressed communities worldwide, positioning tech workers as a frontline defense against the weaponization of advanced algorithms.

This is a pattern.
After the destruction of a statue of Jesus Christ in South Lebanon, we now witness Israeli occupation soldiers desecrating the image of the Virgin Mary, an icon sacred to millions of Christians and Muslims alike. This is no longer just vandalism, it is a deliberate act of humiliation, a message of contempt directed at the spiritual and cultural symbols of this land.
From churches to mosques, from crosses to crescents, nothing seems to be spared. What is being targeted is not only stone and sculpture, but identity, dignity, and belief itself.
When holy figures are mocked and sacred spaces violated, the message is clear: this is a war not only on ou land, but on our heritage and faith.

🇦🇪 Alerte missiles in UAE

🇦🇪 — UAE Ministry of Interior: There is a potential missile threat, and everyone is advised to take shelter in safe buildings.
🇺🇸🚫🇮🇷 A group of U.S. Senate Republicans is drafting an authorization of military force against Iran if President Trump resumes strikes. The measure would likely restrict ground troops and set a limited window for hostilities.

Handala team:
40 days have passed and we all are still alive and stronger than before… By the way, is Kash Patel good?
It would be better if, instead of searching for us, you went after the leaders of Epstein’s pedophile network. You should be addressing the security disaster at the White House, where it seems like every day someone can just walk in unchecked.
By the way, all of our members are ready to proudly reveal their identities, because we doubt you even have the capability to find us. We are waiting at the Handala email for an email from the FBI so we can provide our names.

A statement issued by the Media Relations Department of Hezbollah:
The Media Relations Department of Hezbollah categorically denies the false accusations made by the Syrian Ministry of Interior, which claimed the dismantling of a Hezbollah-affiliated cell that was planning to carry out security operations within Syrian territory.
The repeated assertion of such allegations by Syrian security agencies, despite our repeated declarations that Hezbollah has no presence or activities within Syrian territory, raises serious questions and confirms that there are those who seek to ignite tensions and discord between the Syrian and Lebanese peoples.
Hezbollah wishes all the best for Syria and its people, and for them to enjoy full security and stability. Any threat to Syria's security is a threat to Lebanon's security. Hezbollah has never been a party that seeks to destabilize any country or target its people's stability. Rather, it has always been and will continue to be in a defensive position against the Zionist enemy and its expansionist projects - an enemy of Lebanon and Syria that occupies their territories and covets their wealth and resources.

🇮🇷🇺🇸| IRGC-Navy Commander:
Following the ceasefire violation and aggression by US terrorist army against an Iranian oil tanker near Bandar Jask and the approach of the US terrorist army destroyers to the Strait of Hormoz, a very large and precise combined operation was carried out using various ballistic and anti-ship cruise missiles and kamikaze drones with high-explosive warheads targeting the their destroyers.
Intelligence monitoring indicates damage, and 3 enemy ships quickly fled the Strait of Hormoz area.
💠 The Speaker of the Parliament in his second audio message to the people of Iran: The enemy is seeking Iran's surrender through economic pressure
🔹 We do not underestimate the possibility of a military attack, especially terrorist attacks, but the part of the enemy's plan that targets society is to weaken Iran from within
🔹 The enemy has placed great hope on economic pressure, and it is clear that they have again been given false reports and based on these reports, they have made wrong decisions, which will cause hardship for everyone.
🔹 Experts specializing in Iran admit that no matter how much economic pressure the Iranian nation faces, they endure the difficulties for the sake of their country's independence and dignity, and for their religion and beliefs.
🔹 The Iranian nation has historical awareness and understands that in this sensitive period of Iran's history, they must stand against this criminal enemy at all costs; an enemy who, in its delusions, believed it could destroy Iranian civilization.
🔹 I ask the honorable government to present its plans, reports, and actions regarding the issue of rising prices to the dear people so that they may find peace of mind through officials' follow-up.
🔹 In its new design, the enemy is seeking economic pressure and media agitation through a naval blockade, aiming to destroy the country's cohesion and force us to surrender.
🔹 The most effective missile that the people can fire at the heart of the enemy is "saving." My other request is that the people, like during the Corona period, launch the "Iran United" campaign with solidarity.

The Silent Theft of Documents Over Years
Can the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) explain how, on April 22, 2025, the entrance doors of its building on Haim Levanon Street suddenly opened at 3:43 a.m., and how three masked individuals were able to penetrate with apparent ease into the organization’s classified sublevel (-2)?
Has the years-long infiltration by “Handala” now been conclusively established? Are your secret meetings still truly secret? That seems doubtful.
How do you account for the surveillance footage and the movements of senior intelligence officials from Mossad, Shin Bet, and Aman?
Your highly confidential virtual meetings on Zoom were, for years, recorded under Handala’s watchful eye. We strongly recommend that you promptly replace your surveillance camera systems with the same brand used in the offices of Shin Bet.

Iranian journalist Hussein Bek:
The brutal attack launched by the Zionist regime's warplanes, in coordination with the United States, on densely populated residential areas in Dahiyeh, means that this deceitful enemy will not miss any opportunity to harm the resistance front. Moreover, accepting a separate ceasefire has not been able to curb its brutality; and failure to respond to this blatant violation will entrench the path Netanyahu seeks, which is freedom of action in carrying out assassinations from Sana'a to Beirut to Baghdad to Tehran.
From Sony Thang:
There will come a moment, it may already be arriving, when American global primacy is no longer the organizing assumption of international life.
When the dollar is no longer the automatic global reserve currency.
When the carrier group in the strait is no longer the automatic guarantee of compliance.
When the Security Council veto is no longer the automatic shield for American client states.
When the State Department statement of "deep concern" no longer functions as a ceiling on what other countries are permitted to do.
When that moment arrives, when the spell fully breaks in the institutions and not just in the streets, the question of what comes next will be urgent and genuinely open.
And there will be Americans who are ready for that question.
Who have been building toward an answer that is more honest, more just, more genuinely internationalist than anything the American empire has managed in eight decades of claiming to represent those values.
They exist.
They are not nothing.
But there will also be a much larger group that arrives at that moment unprepared.
That has spent their lives inside the psychological comfort of unchallenged primacy and has no framework for what it means to be a country among countries.
A powerful country, still.
A significant country.
But not the indispensable nation.
Not the last best hope.
Not the city on a hill from which the rest of the world is supposed to take its cues.
Just a country.
With a history that will require, finally, full accounting.
With a foreign policy that will require, finally, genuine consequence.
With a population that will need to discover, perhaps for the first time in their national experience, what it feels like to be answered back.
That disorientation is coming.
The only question is whether it becomes a reckoning or a rage.
The whole world is watching to see which one they choose.
We have seen what their rage looks like.
We are hoping, with appropriate skepticism, that this time they choose differently.

Just as Sony Thang mentions, I also believe that the time for the collapse of all of what sustains the impunity of the genocidal US empire will soon arrive.

— 🇮🇷 Instructions for passing through the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Persian Gulf Strait Authority:
-
Payment of tolls in Iran's national currency, the Rial.
-
Issuance of guarantees within the Iranian banking system.
-
If a vessel belongs to a country that caused damages to Iran in the recent war, or contributed to causing damages, it must pay reparations before obtaining a passage permit. Countries that have sanctioned Iran or blocked Iran's assets abroad are not allowed passage.
-
The correct name ‘Persian Gulf’ must be written in all documents.
-
Non-compliance with the above will result in seizure of the vessel and a fine equivalent to 20% of the cargo value.
-
All vessels must pass through the designated maritime corridors as specified by Iran, and must comply with instructions of the Iranian Armed Forces.
-
Vessels belonging to the Zionist regime, originating in any of the ports of occupied Palestine (Haifa, Ashdod, Eilat), or heading to any of its ports, are banned from passage through the Strait.

DROP SITE NEWS: 💢 A senior Iranian official tells Drop Site another U.S. attack is likely
🔸 “Based on current assessments, another military attack seems likely,” the official tells Jeremy Scahill.
🔸 Says Trump’s blockade has failed to achieve its goals.
🔸Adds Trump “can’t keep the blockade going much longer” — increasing pressure to act.
🔸 Warns the U.S. will likely escalate to try to force a result.
🔹Expects escalation to focus on:
➤ Hormuz and Iran’s coastline
➤ Expanded military operations
➤ A new wave of assassinations of Iranian leaders, potentially with Israel
🔹Why Iran thinks this:
➤ Trump can’t sustain the blockade indefinitely
➤ He needs a visible outcome or ‘win’
➤ Escalation becomes the fallback option
🔹Iran’s posture in response:
➤ Preparing for retaliation across the region
➤ Has rebuilt defenses during the ceasefire
➤ And developed new target lists
Full new report from Jeremy Scahill here https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/trump-iran-war-threats-hormuz-israel
Also, interesting piece of information from the reporting:
“If this new scenario ends up becoming contested, in which the risk of war is still there, looming in the background, in which there isn’t full acceptance and as a result you also don’t have a full flow of oil, that will ensure that the international markets are going to try to reduce the strategic significance of the Strait of Hormuz,” Parsi said. “In that scenario, Iran needs to also have an alternative.”
As it works on its future plans for managing Hormuz, Iran also has been working to prepare for such a scenario. It has been negotiating the expansion of alternative land shipping options in the region and is brokering the erection of a network of routes transiting Pakistan and Afghanistan, a parallel trade system outside of Western dominance. Iran envisions this as establishing itself as a central transit hub in the heart of central and western Asia.
“This is an important development. For years, we did not pay much attention to developing land transit infrastructure due to a lack of necessity. However, we are now moving forward at a very fast pace, and the level of engagement from the countries involved in these corridors has genuinely surprised us,” said the Iranian official. “This dynamic is reshaping the region and will significantly transform the future of trade and the nature of relations between countries in West Asia.”
These alternative land routes are not just long-term strategic planning by Tehran, but a direct response to the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz that Iran believes will allow it to endure a prolonged standoff by countering some of the economic and supply impact. “Our volume of maritime trade is very high, so naturally shifting it to land transit won’t be easy,” the official said. But, he added, “things are actually moving forward at a really good pace.”
❗️Washington sanctions Chinese satellite firms in an attempt to blind Iranian intelligence operations
The Trump administration escalated its economic warfare against Beijing on Friday by blacklisting three Chinese satellite firms accused of providing Tehran with critical intelligence. Washington alleges that Meentropy Technology, The Earth Eye, and Chang Guang Satellite Technology provided high-resolution imagery used to coordinate strikes against US forces during "Operation Epic Fury." This latest round of restrictions also targeted entities in Belarus and the UAE, signaling an attempt by the US to sever the technological lifelines assisting resistance efforts in West Asia.
State Department officials led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio claim these firms operated at the direct request of the Iranian Ministry of Defense to track US troop movements across the region. The move comes as China boasts the largest commercial imaging program outside the US. While western firms like Planet Labs have historically acquiesced to White House demands to censor imagery, Beijing maintains that such unilateral sanctions are illegitimate and has instructed its domestic industries to ignore them.
The timing of these designations appears calculated to exert maximum pressure ahead of next week’s high-stakes summit in Beijing between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. By targeting the aerospace sector, Washington aims to undermine the growing strategic partnership between the Islamic Republic and the People’s Republic.
🇮🇷| Iran’s joint military command (Khatam Al Anbiya):
The aggressive, terrorist, and bandit American army violated the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker ship moving from Iran’s coast in the Jask area towards the Strait of Hormoz and also another ship entering the Strait of Hormoz, opposite of the port of Fujairah, UAE.
Simultaneously, they launched aerial assaults on civilian areas in cooperation with some regional countries on the coasts of Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island.
The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately and in a retaliatory action attacked American military vessels in the eastern Strait of Hormoz and south of the port of Chabahar, causing significant damage to them.
The criminal and aggressive America and its supporting countries must know that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as before, powerfully and without the slightest hesitation, responds decisively to any aggression and invasion.

🇮🇷🇺🇸| The US tried to sneak in 3 of its navy destroyers into the Strait of Hormoz but were met with a response from the Iranian Armed Forces, according to an Iranian reporter.
🇮🇷The Iranian Army:
On the morning of Friday, May 8th, while the US Navy was attempting to move its three attacking destroyers with air support from the Strait of Hormuz towards the Sea of Oman, the Iranian Navy launched a joint attack using missiles and drones, employing 8 cruise missiles and 24 suicide drones. As a result of this operation, and despite the US Navy's vigorous efforts to repel the attack, one cruise missile and three suicide drones successfully hit the US destroyers, causing a fire. It should be noted that this operation was named after the famous commander of the Jamaran destroyer of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Captain "Amir Behzad Majd", i.e., the Operation Martyr Majd.
Pascal Ausseur, retired admiral of the French Navy: "Under the current circumstances, sending warships or civilian ships to the Strait of Hormuz is suicide."

🔴Ship traffic statistics in the Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours
🔹Marine navigation data shows that only one cargo ship is trackable in the Strait of Hormuz, and it is Iranian.
🔹Peter Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defense, said a few hours ago that Iran has no control over the Strait of Hormuz; meanwhile, sailors say that no one dares to violate Iranian regulations.
🔹According to Bloomberg, about 400 commercial ships have gathered near Dubai in the new area announced by Iran, and the Strait of Hormuz is almost empty.

❗️US struggles to curb flow of Chinese drone components to Iran & Russia
Small Chinese firms are openly exporting dual-use drone parts, such as engines, batteries, fiber-optic cables, and microchips, to both countries, often bypassing or ignoring US restrictions.
One company, Xiamen Victory Technology, has reportedly marketed German-designed L550 drone engines linked to Iran’s Shahed-136 attack drones during recent regional conflicts.
US officials say curbing this trade is challenging, as drones rely on widely available commercial components that move easily through global supply chains. Many of these suppliers are small businesses with limited exposure to US penalties and are increasingly operating in the open.
