Except for making games for Xbox or making an OS that isnt all up in your shit

Sorry Mr Nadella, already replaced my Wintel tower and laptop with Macs. The 66% price increase in Microsoft 365 made me look long and hard at iWork and put up with its differences. And I actually liked the Ribbon. iWork has a ribbon but it's on the right and it's still so weird to me, but for the low low cost of $nothing, I'll put up with it.

I'm still on Xbox, but after GamePass doubled in price, I dipped out. They've since reduced it somewhat, but it's still over what I'm willing to pay. I'm the kind of gamer who obsesses over one game until I've beaten it. At $15 it made sense. $20 was too high but not terrible. $30 was instant cancel. They were making a huge profit on me and my use case and they threw it away. Bonus: I never cared about Call of Duty. $23 is still too high. For how I use it, it should be like $18 tops. The "GamePass PC" plan appeals to me, the idea of only being able to play on one device, but you need Windows for that. If there was a console-only GamePass, that would be better for me. But I also started with Atari and NES. Xbox 360 games still look good to me. PS1 games still look good to me. So I'll pick up a classic game and play that. I don't even need the new Xbox games. Hell, Animal Crossing for 3DS has been getting most of my time, only now I play it on my MacBook because the 2" screen gives me a headache. I bought the game and the hardware, but since I can play it on my laptop and get the full experience, I'll just do that instead. That said, I still like my Xbox. Raising the prices doesn't mean I'll play fewer games, it just means I'll wait longer to play a game and buy it used or on sale.

They're leaving my money on the table and getting nothing or close to it. And they wonder why. In both cases, they got greedy. I was paying them rent and they decided it wasn't enough. Now I pay them nothing.
