wendy carlos is 86, still alive , and if you don't know about her, shes an excellent composer/arranger/electronic musician. She did the clockwork orange soundtrack, switched on bach and did pionnering works in modular synthesisers.

It’s a pity that she doesn’t update her website anymore. She used to post things there fairly regularly, but she’s been silent since 2020.
And everyday is an act of rebellion.
I love your glasses!
Thank you, they help me process my own face when I look in the mirror.
And some of us managed to reproduce before/during transition so we can continue our legacy even further
Peace and long life. 🖖
Live long and prosper.
Keep killing it <3
It's so cool to have old queer people around!
Youre a gem. thank you for blazing a path for the rest of us <3
Fantastix post!
Teared up a little looking at your photo. I'm so glad you're in this world. I would be so lucky to know you
I missed this when you first posted, but I happened to see it and couldn't resist a shout-out to Rachel Pollack, who made it to 77 and in the process taught a lot of people a lot of wisdom, including myself. May your own years be long and blessed.
Old age is a gift. I plan to make the most of it.
Currenly I’m in my early 50s and some of my friends are not taking care of themselves. They are not exercising, not eating properly, not cultivating their social circles or participating in their communities. The decline is beginning to be more evident and I’m NOT here for it.
In addition to being at the start of Second Puberty™, I’ve lost about 160 pounds over the last few years, have a well-researched supplement regimen, hit the gym, go rock climbing, and ride my bike all several times a week. Will it let me reach immortal escape velocity? Probably not, but I am looking forward to being the hottest trans dyke in the village.
I'd be way more impressed if they didn't
That’s called “dying young,” and it has happened to us for far too long.
The "grow old" part is the pertinent one, not the "age" part.
