Every time I hear about new shows nowadays they've released 3+ seasons and are ready to close the story before I have even had time to consider if I'd like to watch them

Well, you're in luck. There's gonna be three? seasons to be released to total five. You can watch the first two on whatever platform you'd like. Although legally, it's streaming on Amazon Prime.

How did it turn out compared to the pilot? It looked like there were art and voice changes and never had a chance to watch it.

I thought the first season was really well done and kept true to the spirit of the pilot. I've only heard good things about the latest season, so I assume it's still on track. Very worth checking out.

I thought S2 fell off a cliff. It was just fanservice and the only dialogue was running commentary of characters telling each other exactly how they feel. At length. Zero subtext. And 2 songs, which occur at the same time in each episode. Just cringy, lazy and undramatic.

I watched the pilot and thought the whole show juat exiats to swear a lot in a cartoon

You think it's unusual for sinners in Hell to be swearing?

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 1 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

No dude, it's not for children. They are sinners in HECK and The say cuss words... A LOT. I think i see the appeal now

This is an interesting observation. May I ask why it's bothersome? I don't view it any worse than any other adult-oriented show.

There are some changes, but I liked both seasons overall. Some good songs, too, especially in the first season.

The season 5 announcement confused me, considering we haven't even gotten season 3 yet.

Shame, the seasons are already pretty short, the episodes are short, there's barely been any progress into the main story, and already cancelled...

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

They have what would have been one season in the past (24 episodes) to wrap it up.

Half of a season given episodes are 20-ish minutes long, not 40-45.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago

20 minute long shows still did the 20-ish episodes a season thing. They certainly didn't have 48 in a season.
