I call it the pig slide. I'm amazed they haven't removed it, I see kids fly out of that thing and get banged up all the time.

Have you actually seen it first hand? My impression after hearing about it on 99% Invisible (a design podcast) was that the cop exited with such a great velocity specifically because it was designed for children sized people, not adults. Not trying to start an argument, just curious.

Yes, they don't come out inverted like the flying pig but they still come out pretty fast. My kids say they get bumped pretty good in the tube on the way down, not every time but sometimes they bonk elbows and foreheads. They always seem fine, like it's not terrible but i've seen plenty of kids come out of there crying.

That sounds like terrible design. Public playgrounds don't have height restrictions; adults can and will use it...
