There is a good chance that lemmy.sdf.org will return after much needed disk expansion. We ran out of space. Currently everything is preserved, we just need more disks in order to bring the site back online. Thank you for your patience.

It's been down now for a worrying amount of time, though hopefully it pops up someday.
Was it down long prior to the announcement?
It was down for about 3 or 4 days before that announcement from what I recall. Based on when this was posted, its been down for at least 19 days.
My own instance was down for a couple weeks due to some highly unexpected hardware issues, and our sysadmin was out on a business trip so they couldn't bring it back up immediately (though they were keeping us updated on the situation with an alt account), so it's not unheard of to go down for that amount of time, but as the SDF admins don't communicate on lemmy at all, it's hard to know what's going on behind the scenes as to the status of it.
They've been around for a long time and lemmy is just one of their projects. I think it will come back. But it's not a main priority.
The creator of Funhole is currently posting to the .world comics community while the SDF instance is down.
Funhole is founded and moderated by qrstuv,
pmjv is the content creator (FUCC member) that generates the most engagement on it.
Says so on the wikis.
