Switched gears so fast that I believe this was the plan all along. Paying off some blackmailers or stashing assets with some cronies would be my guesses - all with government money, of course.

And this my friends is his superpower - the ability to listen when the crowd is yelling at him and take a step back. I think this is a significant contributor for his continued tenure despite the countless fuckups. People understand people fuck up. When you own up, they forgive and forget.

The problem is that people don't seem to realize that he's had multiple fuckups that have been 10x more expensive than this jet.
Oh for sure. He's cost us enormous material loss and decrease in standard of living. We live worse in Onterio than we used to live in 2012 on many if not most parameters.

If that's the case, I would say he isn't listening well enough. He should step back from politics altogether, but his pockets are too well greased.
But you have a point, people give him credit for the little good he does, and remain blind to everything else. Sounds a lot more like love than education.
