TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

This is actually an older model Novation Launchpad similar to this:

Here is a video of one of these in action in its native habitat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vC5TsSyNjU
One of my favorite shows.
l wonder how it compares as a spaceflight control device to the flatiron command interface of Spaceship Orion...:

That's a bold prop move
Well, they had to cut some corners to get it realized at all...
Nonetheless the series wasn't continued after its first season mainly due to cost reasons, despite being insanely popular.
And it had a banger of a theme song, too. And some actually good-looking VFX.
Cool show all around; it's unfortunate how short-lived it was.
What is that from? I tried searching Spaceship Orion but all I could find were articles about Artemis II and some failed TV show from 2023 that was definitely not in black and white.
Basically the German Star Trek.
Similar, but somewhat less optimistic.
When someone asks me "Kirk or Picard" I answer "McLane".
Okay, I'll answer "Sisko" but I'll at least think of Maj. Cliff Allister McLane and the crew of the fast space cruiser Orion, which can be operated using nothing but flatirons, ice scoops, and faucets. The ship, not the crew.
Thank you!

Captains log. The crew of the Enterprise has been stationed on planet Extacy for mental health repairs. The bass has dropped. There are so many lights.
with all the talk about phaser and shield frequencies, maybe that makes sense
There was a great subreddit for this /r/thatsabooklight
DMX got his name from one of these.
Why use custom prop when commercial product do trick?
