What they mean is violence (that is not enacted by the state) is never the answer.
And specifically my state that serves me. Other states being violent are also bad.
Unless they're being violent to states that we think deserve it, in which case it's fine.
To be fair, the war budget isn't going to solve any problems, just create trillions of new ones.
Solves a lot of 'which yacht do i buy' problems.
Sometimes violence is the answer.
It just shouldn't be the first thing to try.
