I've quit all of them except PBS, and it's only $5 per month. I have years worth of movies and shows that I've ripped from CD's found at the goodwill. I think I'll be fine. New shows suck anyway.

Im laying in bed on my phone so i couldnt do a proper read of all the linked sources. But I think this writer had a conclusion and then went fact finding to support it. Some of these sources really do not support what the writer says.
There is so many points that go against the article but for example the consumer spending report referenced shows consumer spending is remaining steady at around $70 a month on steaming services and a lot of people are joining on via ad supported tiers so its growing. Sports games, movie theater, gaming are all steady. The people negative consumer sentiment which is expected but spending isnt going down.
