it’s important to clarify that this does not stream VR games—only the sorts of games you would play on a traditional 2D display like a computer monitor or a TV

The vision pros are a good VR headset technologically, they're just completely ruined by Apple's software and general incompatibility with the entire VR ecosystem.

Knowing how valve is it’s probably because someone working at Valve has a Vision Pro and wanted better support for it.

It portably wasn’t that hard to do. The ROI of something like this was probably worth it even if only a small amount of people will actually use it.
