Miles's bio is the words "Obsessed with AI", a disclaimer, and two links.

Safe to assume he has no friends.

If two specimen of one hivemind are "exchanging spores" is it sex or is it masturbation...?

Why not both? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 4 points 1 week ago

It's Sporespondence.

[–] Einskjaldi@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Hivemind is usually not one single body and spores in this context would be closer to pheromones so it would be interpersonal sexual contact

If my friend start talking about openclaw we're going to change the subject to something that's actually interesting.

Telling people about your interactions with an AI is like telling people about a dream you had, it has no basis in reality and no one cares.

Dreams are actually fun and interesting to talk about tho

[–] ratsnake@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Depends on the dream, I have some recurring nightmares that could literally bore a psychotherapist to death

For me it's always the last day/week of university. I find out that there's some class I forgot I was enrolled in. It's too late to drop the class. If I fail it I won't graduate but I've literally missed the class for the entire semester and haven't done any of the work or exams.

Oh shit, that's terrifying.

I had one where I had to both go enroll in and teach at high school (they discovered I was missing credits but also my degrees and work experience were better than the current teachers so they wanted me to teach the classes I was missing. But I still had to take them. Dream logic is fun.)

I feel like a psychotherapist would the one person who wouldn’t be bored by your boring recurring nightmares

[–] ratsnake@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago

Well, mine are so boring and rote they could even bore a trained professional!

I always get annoyed because I get really interested in the dream and just kinda forget they're basically nonsense and usually don't go anywhere. So I'm super invested and on the edge of my seat and right before I think it's about to get really good the person is like "and then I woke up." Or the "setting" and "plot" abruptly and jarringly change to something completely different and everything else is dropped entirely. Either way I'm reminded that it was never a carefully crafted story, just an odd manifestation of random unconscious thoughts.

[–] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 2 points 1 week ago

Well, there is a solution to that. Start turning dreams into actual stories so they have plot and can be continued. It's a great tradition!

Miles Deutscher's only friends are chat bots.

[–] OldSageRick@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 week ago

Nope, even the abominable intelligence rejects them

[–] FilthyShrooms@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

If my friends are talking positively about AI, then its time to find new friends

How can we talk about the hivemind when we have been absorbed

[–] AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

We are talking about ai but its always about how much we hate it...

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I might
I might trim out the AI bit because the reply is gold even without the context

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Especially without the context

[–] goodboyjojo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

This made me lol
