That's why I'm now running on Linux Mint. Fuck Microsoft

Mint should come out with an AI app that, when you open it, just shows a blank screen that says "What do you think this is; Microsoft?"

That would be actually funny

What follows is our plan to raise the bar on Windows 11 quality this year, with a focus on performance, reliability and well-crafted experiences.

So pulling all the AI in the os and putting it into one dedicated browser and client isn't an improvement?

I assumed it would be a little more RAM, not a tenfold increase.

In our tests, Windows Latest observed that Copilot uses up to 500MB of RAM in the background, and it also reaches up to 1GB of RAM when you begin to interact with it. On the other hand, native Copilot used to have less than 100MB of RAM usage.

Windows 12 - Minimum Ram Requirement 36gb. Will sunset windows 11 at tend of 2026 with no more updates.

P.S. Buy our Microslop branded ram at these exorbitant prices!

That's fine because RAM is cheap, right...?

It's ok, Linux is cheap. In fact, it's free.

Love how all apps now are just Electron/Chromium but none of them share any packages so you basically have to download all of the same node modules for every Electron app you have and run them independently.

nice… all those nails für the coffin lately
