I wish this also affected WhatsApp.

Nothing of value was lost.

Well, 15 years of family photos that were take on old phones they no longer have is worth a bit. Yes, the user should have backed it up, but if they were taking the pics in side the app, that's easier said then done.

I'd be more than happy to see the platform fold.

Whatsapp has an option to save all chat pictures to the device. It's easier said than done, but barely. You only need to turn on that option, then turn on backups for that folder in your phone's backup system, if it isn't automatic.

Oh noes not again! Guess I'll still not use these web services lol. Anyway has anyone seen the Pinely video?Wwhere he got banned off of Facebook for not interacting with the AI generated slop and trying to talk to his friends and family members. I feel like Meta even after he doxxed himself and scanned his face to verify he is a real human doesn't seem that invested into you not constantly looking at the non humanity and advertising potential of its platforms that it owns and giving them money indirectly. I feel like there should be government regulation around this but it's never going to happen.

Please do that to my friend, please do that to my friend.

Ofc I respect his freedom to use whatever apps he chooses to use, what do you mean?

Anyway. Please meta, ban my friend from meta and make sure to track his device ID/IP/cookies etc so can can't make a new acc.

Never used them and never will, so as far as I concerned nothing of value is lost.

Never understood why Fecebook ever got so popular. There is a long history of drama surrounding its decisions and changes to its service.
