SMIC, China's largest chipmaker, has sent chipmaking tools to Iran's military, two senior Trump ‌administration officials said on Thursday, raising questions about Beijing's stance in the month-old U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran.

SMIC which has been heavily sanctioned by the U.S. government over alleged ties to the Chinese military, began sending the tools to Iran roughly a year ago and "we have no reason to believe that any of this has stopped," one of the officials said.

The official added that the collaboration "almost certainly included technical training on SMIC's semiconductor technology."

Yeah, sorry. I don't buy into the fear-mongering about Iran. It's not Iran's military and nuclear capacity that concerns me, it's America's. The USA is the one that is undertaking pointless illegal wars, partaking in and/or enabling genocide in multiple countries, repeatedly threatening its (former) allies with war and annexation, illegally kidnapping nation leaders, and throwing people in concentration camps including foreign nationals and tourists.

It should not surprise a single person that any country is taking steps to protect their sovereignty and territory from hyper-aggressive American imperialism. Especially a country like Iran that has genocidal Israel not far from their doors.

I am convinced people fearing Iranian military will invade US just never saw the world map.
They are an ocean + sea + 2 geographic regions away.

Ok, question: say, hypothetically, Iran were indeed rushing towards a handful of nukes...why are China/russia/Pakistan so chill with it? It only dilutes their nuclear deterrence, how are they so sure that this is not the case?
