Google and Samsung Messages are very much not "my favorite messaging app".

Yeah if your favorite messaging app is google messages or Samsung messages, I too enjoy corporate slop

The main problem with RCS is it violates the principle of separation of physical device identifier from the network ID, recorded in RFC 791 in 1981.

RCS is over forty years behind.

I don't have a favourite messaging app

I would delete them all if I could

Left my phone on do not disturb for the last week

It feels great

Surely you would value the convince of like, texting your significant other who is at the grocery store or farmers market the last minute ingredient for your dinner plans that night though right? Like, you wouldnt want them to get home and then you have to go back out, then dinner is delayed an hour. ugh, annoying.

Oh man! Another useless feature I cannot use because none of my phones have Google services or Google Messages (TM). I'm so glad to be living in a world where I cannot use RCS and that in the future carriers may be kicking me off their networks for using alternatives and SMS and MMS. Man I'm so glad that Google bought Jibe just to have it be turned into a tool for furthering their monopoly with a standard that isn't even open to begin with!! <3
