It's the weekend once again, and that means we throw the comm open to discussion of any and everything folks want to talk about! And of course that means you can talk about any games you're playing, too!

It's been a busy week, and I haven't felt focused enough to play any shmups, but did a little grinding in Xenoblade Chronicles X--after neglecting that game for like a month.

So, what's everyone up to?

Is ball x pit a shmup? I played the demo for that tonight and enjoyed it, the loop expects you to lose so the short runs don’t feel very punishing

I've had that one on my wishlist since it came out. Shmup players seem to like it.

That's a good question--I haven't tried it yet! If I get some time this weekend I'll have to check out the demo myself.

Thinking about it more, it might be more a breakout type game since you’re launching balls that bounce off enemies. Enabling auto-fire feels a bit shmupy though! Especially when the speed is turned up
