Can we get back to allowing memes with uncensored swear words?
General Memes & Private Chuckle
Welcome to General Memes
Memes for the masses, chuckles for the chosen.
Rule 1: Be Civil, Not Cruel
We’re here for laughs, not fights.
- No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
- No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
- Keep it light — argue in the comments, not with insults
Rule 2: No Forbidden Formats
Not every image deserves immortality on the memmlefield. That means:
- No spam or scams
- No porn or sexually explicit content
- No illegal content (seriously, don’t ruin the fun)
- NSFW memes must be properly tagged
If you see a post that breaks the rules, report it so the mods can take care of it.
Otherwise consider this your call to duty. Get posting or laughing. Up to you
Just downvote them all until it stops.
I respect the guy who's still carrying the camera. I'd have yeeted that the moment the bear moved towards me.
I respect whoever who took this picture.
Sacrificed an opportunity to skedaddle and is no doubt now a legend to these guys. "Holy fuck, can't believe you got that shot!"
I think the one who took the picture was using a telephoto lens. His thought process was probably along the lines of "I have a good 30 second head start on these guys, and the first one to go is probably the guy tripping over himself in the back closest to the bear."
Yep! I'm guessing it's like musicians with their guitars though
Remember, you don't have to run fsster than the bear, just faster than the guy whose shoelaces you tied together.
Wildlife photographers when another animal is getting eaten: I must not interfere for that is nature.
The photographer who took this: I must not interfere for that is nature.
The photographer who took this photo didn't want to interfere with nature's course. It's the circle of life, after all.
Is running from a bear a good strategy? I'm no expert, but they seem a lot faster.
Just have to be faster than one other person.
The guy in blue about to get lucky
I had not considered the possibility that the bear was more horny than hungry.
In that case it would have been posted by Violet08.

If you're in close proximity of an aggressive bear, you have already missed all the good strategies. Why start then?
No expert either but I wondered the same. I heard that running will trigger their hunting behaviour, because running is associated with fleeing pray. But on the other hand, if the bear already decided to charge them anyways, what else is there to do?

Welp, into the stew I'd go
Now draw the bear.
Damnit brian, have a bit of self respect, you're a national geographic photographer, let those guys take their photos on your turf, even if they've got better gear than you.
