In a just world the board wouldn't have approved.

In a less just world the public would be able to burn down the whole fucking site and the police turn a blind eye.

But we live in an unjust world where money is literally the only thing that matters.

The people could always go have a polite chat with the regulators. I'm sure they are reasonable chaps and willing to consider alternative outcomes.

Have fun with that Mississippi. You could have a regulatory environment that would scrutinize a company whose unstable white supremacist owner has enjoyed blatantly violating safety and environmental regulations at his companies, but instead you get to live like worker's rights and environmental laws don't exist.
