Cool. Stop trying to tax their foreign income then. Helping your citizens escape a warzone you created is near bare-minimum standard for "country" status, let-alone "first-world superpower".

That was to be expected. How was the State Department supposed to know that (checks notes) its boss would start a war in the middle of peace negotiations?

The story goes that Philip K Dick, the notable sci-fi author, wrote his famous novel, The Man in the High Castle in part by choosing plot twists at random, using the I Ching. I see his fine opus at work here, too. 2026 is the year of the random plot twists.

Dude, their feud with Anthropic is over their desire to use AI for mass domestic surveillance and fully autonomous killing machines.

The nazis are literally building skynet and big brother. Abandonment should be the least of Americans concerns. The immediate threat is already enslavement and mass murder.
