I want to dispel the narrative of Iran being evil; that they were mowing down protestors (lol) and some ways to convince people to uncritically side with Iran in this conflict

books are fine, but I read too slowly for me to actually get ready fast enough Western narratives contradicting itself would be a good start Maybe common views? I just need a guideline so I don't get caught flat on my ass looking for citations on something I wasn't prepared for, thanks

Ask them how things went in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya... and why they think it won't be the same this time.

They live in 3 month cycles, and probably think Syria is good actually

Besides, with Epstein derangement syndrome and trump they're all attributing it to not America but trump so it doesn't actually prevent them from saying it's two bad people fighting and America 'is slightly less bad'

Just remind them that all those countries were "run by evil regimes" too, and bombing them to shit and replacing their leaders just made conditions worse. If they want to lay it all on Trump, then ask them why they're supporting his murderous foreign policy I guess.

I feel like Libya is the one to point to directly, because it provides an opportunity to either educate or immediately dunk on the lib you're speaking to because they won't know shit about it. You therefore have an advantage if you've done any reading, versus the more obvious examples of Iraq & Afghanistan where there are very obvious criticisms, but are also 20 years of mainstream propaganda that the suburban grillpilled cracker will have accepted.

Libya was "quick", "quiet" and "successful" in comparison for yankoids, in that it was comparatively kept out of the media, NATO achieved regime change within a year and official boots on the ground were minimal. Hillary got a cute soundbite out of it.

In reality, a state has been utterly destroyed for 15 years and was replaced with widespread death, disease, famine and slavery. Even supposed "rule of law" neolibs can be made to wince at a retelling of Gaddafi being [redacted] to death with a bayonet. There is literally no "success" a NATOist lib can deflect to.

Once you have them on the back foot with Libya, then you keep pressing with Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria

History is the best source, as it shows iran got into this regime because of us intervention. Videos of woman without burkas walking freely in teheran also do not fit the propaganda. The getting attacked and acting moderate in defense. The easiest way is to put all actions the us isreal has taken against iran and ask them in reverse rolls, if they would find them just or evil.

I would just beat them over the head with what a total disaster the 2003 invasion of Iraq was

I would just beat them over the head

They'll simply attribute the current war to trump, and only trump

I don't know how, it would require them to empathize with people who aren't American and have been depicted as a racialized fanatical enemy their entire lives.

Its pretty easy to clown on those folks they don’t even know about our history in the Middle East before 9/11. They dont know anything about Iran-Iraq war, they dont know why the Iranian Revolution happened. Listen to trueanons Bush Did 9/11.
