Nice to see them calling out that "Part of a balanced breakfast" bullshit.
Calvin and Hobbes
Hello fellow Calvin and Hobbes fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.

This crossed my feed while I'm eating a bowl of frosted flakes.
"They'rrrrrrrre blechh!"
Keeps the urges down!
I think that was corn flakes, not frosted flakes.
I think you're right, but aren't frosted flakes just corn flakes with a bit of sugar added to make them slightly more edible?
Maybe a little more than "a bit of sugar", but yeah.
But if you were referring to Kellogg's (wildly unfounded) hypothesis that bland food would somehow repress sexual urges, I don't think he'd approve of adding sugar to make it taste better.
He was a weird dude with some messed-up ideas though, so if the existence of Frosted Flakes would have annoyed him, then perhaps that's a good thing.

Yep, that was the reference, in a Ned Flanders-ish way of saying it! I agree, he wouldn't approve of the sugar at all. I was just noting that the base food - corn flakes - is the same.
