[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

We apologize once again. Those responsible for the sacking, have been sacked.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago

No realli! She was Karving her initials øn the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law -an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst Nordfink"...

Genuinely; I wonder what happened to this person.

Did amazon/their supervisor recognize a potential crisis and give this person support, or did they just throw the book at them and fire them on the spot. I'm sure we can all guess what's more likely; but that's not guaranteed.

Whichever it was, I hope they're alright and not spiralling, or worse... Adult life is hard.

[–] Reginald_T_Biter@lemmy.world 36 points 1 month ago

I think you already know the answer. Fired.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 33 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Amazon is not a company you give the benefit of the doubt.

They straight up do not allow their employees to piss.

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

$54 BILLION in profit (2024) and can't let employees be alive and have physical and emotional challenges.

Fuck Amazon. imagine what we could be if companies just treated people like people instead of abusing them to be currency vacuums. This timeline sucks, greed is pure lunacy.

I know people who work for amazon tech.

They love it. They love the cutthroat work environment. I have a brother who used to work for a company like that, and all his jobs afterward he hated because they were 'boring' and 'not competitive' and he ended up quitting them all because he wanted everything to be blood sport. Now he is depressed and unemployed.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

They would make more money long term by not being pieces of shit, they just can't help but let greed get in the way of money. It's a mental illness at that level.

They went on to create another fake messaging post.

Into the grinder!

That sudden corporate tone shift is hilarious. You can almost feel the “please remain professional” email being drafted in real time.

i've had people at bars corporate police tone me. where i live it's rampant and people talk corporate speak 24/7.

least to say I wanted to punch that person in the face, and I no longer hang out there because it's full of corpo zombie types of people who work 80 hour weeks and think 'synergize' is a verb for everyday use.

Yeah, I'm going to need you to do a better job as using 'Capital' letters when starting sentences and after a period or end break of a sentence. It looks rather unprofessional when you don't punctuate correctly. If you need a refresher course for how to type professionally in a casual environment, remember we're a family and we can set something up for you to assist you in the future.

Praise Bezos! Ha ha! Ha. hah.

[–] Anarki_@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Looks a little shopped cuz the distance is different before the word "depressed".

Still a good fake text if so.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I do the double space thing on accident fairly regularly, so it's not a dead giveaway.

[–] RickyRigatoni@piefed.zip 5 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I've never done that and can't fathom.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's often when I decide to rephrase something.

[–] x00z@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

They probably removed the word "fucking" there.

[–] MoffKalast@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

haven't been depressed much I take it

[–] RickyRigatoni@piefed.zip 1 points 1 month ago

as long as i can remember

[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

The person responding previously has been sent to 6 hard to find locations.

They can’t shoot you, if you shoot yourself first.

[–] knemesis@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

Jeff Bezos has invited you to Focus.

[–] Grandwolf319@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

I would spend like an hour asking them about their employee mental health and if I could speak with the depressed person to ask why.

[–] Xerxos@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 month ago

Oh, you are depressed? Let's add jobless on top of it. If Amazon would have done the right thing (lol) they would have mentioned it in the post.
