My main paper toolkit:

  1. Who said it? (What biases do they have)
  2. What did they actually say? (not what someone said they said, i.e. news headlines)
  3. On the basis of what? (Evidence, rigor, applicability; but usually "opinion", intermediate metrics or hard outcomes?)
  4. In what context? (i.e. compared to what? high carbohydrate populations with heavy levels of metabolic dysfunction?)
