Don't Look Up was not funny but horrifying because people really are that stupid when it comes to climate change. We're gonna kill ourselves in a few hundred years, if not less when we hit some tipping point we don't even know about yet

Before covid I used to get annoyed by zombie shows/movies because the decisions characters make in them are often ridiculously stupid. Too stupid to believe, I thought.
And now I know that the unrealistic part is that no one ever goes and gets bitten on purpose to prove the zombies they can see with their own eyes aren't real. Because people absolutely would do that.
Buy a ZodPhone and Make Krypton Great Again!
Well, I still can't believe it, and it's still stupid. It's just right there...
I like the explanation given in Superman TAS. That Brainiac, their super computer knew and denied it publicly so it could save itself! Dun dun dunn https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr77jclswsI
Batman TAS and Justice League (Unlimited) get all the attention from the DCAU. Heck, even Batman of the Future comes up a fair amount. But I'll be damned if Superman TAS doesn't deserve to be remembered up there as one of the greats.
