Loving your Parenti-series of posts as of late! For anyone that hasn't read or listened to the late Michael Parenti before, I highly recommend the "Yellow Parenti" Speech on US interventionism, the third world, and the USSR and Blackshirts and Reds | Audiobook. His lecture on "Inventing Reality" is also excellent.

Michael Parenti's Inventing Reality: The Politics of News Media has always been better than Manufacturing Consent, which is what Chomsky is most known for anyways. Chomsky has always been terrible as a leftist. Highly recommend On Chomsky. For learning about Marxism-Leninism in general, I recommend my intro ML reading list.

when you consider things like diplomats at the un making "might doesn't make right" statements but vetoing stopping the genocide in gaza or the starvation in cuba or other things like the icc judge publicly stating that she believes god put her there to absolve isreal in perpetuity; it suggests that the ruling classes look for people who already ideologically aligned with them and that the rulling class takes efforts to ensure that those people's careers are furthered along to ensure that they're giving power.

so i don't think chomsky intentionally sought favor from the epstein illuminati; it's that he already agreed with them so they gave me a platform.

Which is ironically what Chomsky believed. 📺 Noam Chomsky Stumps Andrew Marr

Parenti could teach that, and did, in Inventing Reality and other works.

But it's true that Chomsky demonstrated it in a way Parenti could not.

I think he meant demonstrated

You can't beat hands-on experience

My biggest gripe with Parenti is his denial of mistreatment of Bosnians, these atrocities affected people I know personally. I heard firsthand accounts of how bosniaks were treated and what they experienced. Denying the massacres is a shitty move. - Still miles better than being a bootlicking pedophile.

And 'Blackshirts and Reds' is still a book i recommend to anyone who's open to learn new things.
