No. Every wheel lock kit comes with the socket/key required, and there are so many different wheel locks out there you are VERY unlikely to need/use the one you have on a different vehicle.
That said; you should always keep your wheel lock socket/key either in your glove box or with the roadside jack for the spare tire of your car. You don't want to end up at a mechanic or stuck on the side of the road without it. (so it should have just gone with the writen off car too)

And for the record, the keyed socket was actually in the car until we emptied everything out of it (including the wheel kit).
I wish they would just stop making them.

Frequently haven't been able to change a flat tire because the lock got misplaced.
Not if you aren't keeping the wheel locks that the key goes to.
Unless you are a service tech, then it could be helpful to have if you ever need one. I keep a big collection of OEM lock keys that were removed from CPO vehicles, they come in handy pretty often when the shop provided single set of wheel locks is already being used by another tech.
