The most fun thing I did when I worked on a cruise ship was cleaning up the conference rooms at the very top deck during a test where they turned the stabalizers off. Those rooms were basically empty except for rolling desk chairs, and we would just ride those suckers as the ship was tossed around by the waves.
Funny

Boy I really thought this was going to be heavily sarcastic. I immediately started imagining mop bucks and a terrible smell.
Mopping actually sucked so much because we didn't have buckets for 'em. And our boss would yell at us that the floors weren't clean enough despite knowing we didn't have any water to use and could basicslly just dust and sweep with the mops. 😬
This seems like something that would be super fun at first, then it would just be a pain in the ass after the novelty wore off.
Let me put it that way: me father was a seafarer for seven years, and he never got rid of his sea sickness. My guess is, the novelty wears off pretty fast, especially if you're constantly working below deck.
Still funny af too watch though. :-D
Longest I've been on a ship is maybe a week, but it took about that long for the feeling being at sea to go away. This was a huge ship in fortunate weather too, so I never really got thrown around much; Despite that, it was still very strange stepping back on land, especially at first. I can't imagine what it'd be like after months or longer.
Every time I see rough seas clips like these I can't help but think of that scene in Futurama when Bender had to turn on his gimbal mode (or whatever he called it). It was cool how they drew\animated this...

Upvote for Great Big Sea! Some of the best concerts I've ever been to.
