If Shatner lived in my town, I would demand to change our flag into this.
I saw him at Dragon-Con last year. Somebody asked him about his horses and he rambled about going to Antarctica and space instead.
I'm not sure he should be driving at this point, even without eating cereal.
But who's going to stop him? Me? You?

Anyone got good weight loss tips?
I was on some medication that was not good for my waistline, but it’s not easy to lose.
First, make sure you're well rested, sticking to a diet is nearly impossible when you're tired. Use a calorie tracking app, and ideally share your calorie consumption with a buddy who does the same. Walk every day for an hour, even though you won't lose extra weight it will help your mindset. Also measure your waistline regularly, sometimes it gets beter even without losing much weight.
I'm going to echo a few others suggesting apps that help you log what you eat. Even in the absence of a goal, I found that making sure I was only eating consciously, and only when I was actually hungry (as in, not eating just because it's time to eat) helped immensely.
Yes, it boils down to self control, but think of intake tracking as exercise. The more you do it, the easier it gets, and the whole point is just to build momentum so that it becomes routine.
There's no magic bullet, but I lost about 40lbs in a year just telling myself things like "Fuck, I mindlessly opened another bag of Doritos, I DO NOT have to finish this" before I even started researching food intake apps.
Having an underlying cause (medication, stress, etc) will make this exceptionally hard ( I struggled for decades ) but every single time you stop yourself is progress. Failing to stop is NOT backsliding, it's just your normal, and you have to think of every day you manage to lower your intake as another step toward a new normal.
I hit a wall that only exercise can solve, which is what I'm doing now, and it's not easy, or consistent, but I know every 5 minutes I spend running, or lifting, or whatever is 5 minutes I didn't spend on my ass, and that's good enough for me.
If you have access to it, electric bikes can make physical activity easier to do more regularly. The motor helps to focus more on the fun and you can go for longer. My city has Divvy which let's you rent bikes, including motored ones.
I didn't have to lose weight but my good cholesterol was below necessary levels and my doctor prescribed exercise to fix it. Biking was about the only thing I got to work with my depression also in the mix as I could, say, find a scenic trail while daydreaming the whole time. Which worked well for my brain because it had something to do other than yell at itself; basically, it felt less like a chore.
If you stay in bed all day, you might find it easier to not eat. Distract yourself with doomscrolling all day, or whatever. Just do that every other day, and only eat two meals the days you do eat. Don't worry what's in the meals, just eat only two of them, preferably just one if you can!
