I have a possum trap in Springvale if you need it.

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Will absolutely let you know. Thanks man :)

I have monthly visits to Yarraville as well FWIW. I got the trap out of hard rubbish for my stray but I've got nowhere to put him if I catch him. Traps in perfect nick from what I can tell.

They are all so beautiful!! You've done an excellent job!

I really appreciate it :)

I just need to find them homes now and I'll have done my part.

Unkaos. I managed to fill two paper shopping bags with stuff that won’t be worn or no longer fits.

But the downside is I have to find some new clothes that are comfortable

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I wonder if I'd get in trouble for starting a Go Fund Me to buy more cutlery for the kitchen at work.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

you can get cutlery for 20c a piece at op shops

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 points 19 hours ago (3 children)

With the rate cutlery disapears around here that could still be expensive. And the increased demand would probably wipe out the op-shop supply and lead to higher prices. Unless they take trade-ins, we have something like 100 knives and only one solitary spoon.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

op shops have a million knives and few spoons

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

If only there was some sort of alchemy that could be performed to convert them.

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

In an alternate dimension there’s ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife

Isn’t it ironic

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 points 18 hours ago (1 children)
[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 1 points 17 hours ago

A little too ironic…

Sumfin stole all me apricots this year so built a ghetto golf driving net w/ the netting and some pvc:

Not sure how long it'll stay upright but so far so good (and freeeee).

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 8 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Yeah so here's a piece of advice:

Dont increase your protein intake to the point where it accidentally becomes your only fuel source.

Ask me how I know :(

Farts that can wake the dead?

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Carbs make you happy. Had gestational diabetes some years ago. Went very low carb to control sugars. Was very cranky bitch for the entire pregnancy.

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah I have to say, I'm prone to the occasional low mood, but I don't think I've ever been as angry and tired as I have the last few days. Lesson learned

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No carb intake puts you into 'Keto-flu'. You feel absolutely foul and run down for a several days. It gets better but absolutely sucks.

Protein toxicity:

Extreme mood issues

Fatigue

Nausea

Etc

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Oh yeah. You need those carbs and fats too. Look after yourself mate.

Lipids / Fat is also an important macronutrient, particularly for hormones. Unless medically directed I think we should all be getting our kilojoules from all three sources.

Got some good news regarding my car but there's still a month for which the rug could be pulled. Crossing fingers and toes!! Here's to another month with Moaning Myrtle and then a new red zoomie car.

I found a really cool/tacky pair of jeans. Still fit (if rather tight) but way too banging to wear around the scrubs in this area.

I’ll keep them in the cupboard for when I join a Guns β€˜N Roses cover band…

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Kiss from a rose is a normal song, but it's so weird how it git included in the Batman Forever soundtrack. The music video is Seal walking around a rooftop in an open shirt with the bat signal behind it.

I need to do some reading if there's anything out there about it, because why is it a batman song?

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago

Whilst not fighting crime batman was a rosarian.

Urgh. I feel like crap. Body aching, oily hair, can’t seem to shift myself to do anything.

Melbcat seemed to be wheezing or dry retching which is a concern. I’ll keep an eye on it.
