I quit my job last year and uninstalling Teams was such a liberating thing to do. Unfortunately I've been through a few interviews lately and them being on Teams (at least it's the web version) sadly reminds me that I am gonna have to eventually reinstall that annoying piece of... software.
The Shitpost Office
Welcome to The Shitpost Office
Shitposts processed from 9 to 5, with occasional overtime on weekends.
Rule 1: Be Civil, Not Sinister
Treat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.
- No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
- No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
- Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe
Rule 2: No Prohibited Postage
Some packages are simply undeliverable. That means:
- No spam or scams
- No porn or sexually explicit content
- No illegal content
- NSFW content must be properly tagged
If you see anything that violates these rules, please report it so we can return it to sender. Otherwise? Have fun, be silly, and enjoy the chaos. The office runs best when everyone’s laughing.... or retching over the stench, at least.
I'm not in love with Teams but I'm sometimes surprised how much hate it attracts. I've never used a video conference tool I've thought was great. Teams is definitely bloated and each new version seems to improve one issue and introduce another, but the UI is generally fairly intuitive and the calls are typically high quality.
The worst I've used by far was Google Meet; used it a few times for one client and the video and audio quality was atrocious.
I haven't used it enough to hate it yet. Slack is alright, though.
