Look, it's no secret that a majority of the population is struggling with their weight. You're not alone. 66% of adults in the USA are overweight or obese. That's a depressing fact, but a fact none the less. I get it, too. Life is stressful, work is long and mentally taxing, and finding motivation to exercise during what little free time you can find is next to impossible. I was struggling with being overweight for a while. I just couldn't find the motivation or desire to exercise. Enter the steam deck +recumbent exercise bike. This seriously changed my life. A recumbent bike has you sitting in a chair with a back with your feet out in front of you. That means your hands are totally free to game. The amazing thing is, if you're gaming while you're on the bike, it doesn't feel like exercise at all. It feels like gaming time. You don't even really think about the exercise at all. It's such an easy way to get some movement in while still doing something you enjoy. As you get better, you can start raising the intensity or doing the "challenge" programs most bikes have built in. I went from literally zero exercise, high blood pressure and high cholesterol to burning 3500 calories a week just on the bike. My blood pressure is ideal, my cholesterol is normal, and I feel fucking great and I'm no longer "overweight". For anyone struggling with their weight, give it a try. It's an absolutely game changer for physical health.

Bonus tip: roguelites are fucking PERFECT for this. Runs in most roguelites usually last 30-45 minutes for a full run. On top of that, you'll often fail and restart, but once you're in the middle of a run, you don't want to stop, so you just keep pumping away on the bike without thinking about it. You'll end up doing an hour before you know it.
