In before people let AI write their papers, then copy them by hand.

That's ok, it'll take them a while to write them out by hand, and they can really think on what utter clowns they are while they do it.

transforming as in turning it into slop. Before AI it pretty much was low quality slop, from what ive heard on some yt videos, they explained how some papers are just fluff pieces. plus the amount papers a potential hire for a faculty have to write is in the dozens on thier CVs, so likely they arnt looking for quality, but Quantity OF papers. some research papers i read are quite low info or repeated from other research
