General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

The most interesting thing to come out of all that was to discover what an absolute fucking moron he is. Room temp IQ.

What that much inbreeding does to a family

Are we 'sposed to think the elites are smart? I thought they were just greedy.

[–] sunbeam60@feddit.uk 4 points 2 months ago

But to be fair, not being able to sweat and having perfect Pizza Express date recall are pretty sweet buffs.

Absolutely amazing that some people look up to this family.

The Andrew formerly known as Prince

I love that the English can collectively take the piss out of the local nonces…rather than protect them. And the higher ranking they are the harder they fall.

I will say every time there is an announcement it’s like he’s the one they all point at whilst the rest are ignored.

Give me a break. He's only facing any consequences because he got caught.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 3 points 2 months ago

That is typically how you know someone did a crime

[–] Cherry@piefed.social 2 points 2 months ago

He needs more consequences. I am applauding the fact we can take the mick over the matter rather than shy away from the topic.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Not even, he was well known to be a pedo for years prior. I'm not even British and I don't really think about their monarchy much, but even I knew he was a fucking nonce years ago. He's only facing consequences because his dear old mum died and now can't protect him anymore

The English dont do shit about their nonces. Look at Jimmy Saville.

It was the US Department of justice that released this photo.

Hear ye! Hear ye! The Prince of the Nonces, Prince Andrews is still a creepy nonce.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 8 points 2 months ago

He seems like the sort of creep who’d call a teenage girl a “female” too.

BBC publishes a photo yet appears unable to describe photo with confidence, inserts "appears to" into headline.

[–] sunbeam60@feddit.uk 3 points 2 months ago

If Andrew Mountwhatshisface decides to sue the BBC, claiming the pictures are AI generated or something, or done by an imposter, then “appears to” shields the BBC against lawsuit and political fallout.

The BBC are treading on eggshells here, being publically funded and with the oncoming majority in parliament being ready to privatise the lot (shudder!).

Feels wrong to even refer to her as a female. It's a child. I don't want to think about this anymore

[–] Denjin@feddit.uk 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The photos are of a 22 year old Russian woman.

[–] sunbeam60@feddit.uk 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

“Well, you see, I was in fact in the process of resuscitating this female, as she had feinted after getting off from a sofa in a rather fun party game. The skill of resuscitation is, of course, something I picked up while being a WAR HERO!! in the Falklands WAR”

[–] hector@lemmy.today 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He was in the falklands? What position did he have. That other prince was a helicopter pilot which is actually pretty ballsy.

[–] bollybing@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 1 month ago

Andrew was a naval helicopter pilot on an aircraft carrier during the Falklands war.

[–] Soulg@ani.social 2 points 2 months ago

This photo is of an adult. It wasn't exclusively children
