What's US America's obsession with Iran? Oil?

Israel has infiltrated every level of our government for a long time.

people whose every fifth sentence is “death to america”

I wonder why they say that.

it's easier for dear leader to blame americans for any and all problems (not an exaggeration, first example i found https://www.upi.com/Top_News/Special/2009/11/02/Irans-IRGC-blames-US-for-problems/32571257206055/ it was stated on iranian state media verbatim recently, i'll add it when i find it) than to accept responsibility for their oppression, corruption and inefficient governance.

yeah mate nixon personally descended from heli to brainwash khomeini into making basij a thing. every irgc grifter is a mossad agent actually. i bet that cia shat their pants too

You know what definitely doesn't spur a people to revolution? A foreign power bombing them. If anything it has the opposite effect.

How do you clickbait such a simple thing. Fuck.

[–] adhd_traco@piefed.social 0 points 1 day ago

What part of the title do you consider to be clickbait?

"EXCLUSIVE: U.S. Military Tells Key Middle East Ally to Prepare for Attack on Iran"

It's an exclusive, and here's the first paragraph.

Senior U.S. military officials have informed the leadership of a key U.S. ally in the Middle East that President Donald Trump could authorize a U.S. attack on Iran this weekend, multiple sources have confirmed to Drop Site News. Strikes could commence as early as Sunday, the ally was informed, if the U.S. decides to move forward.

Good. Iran's leadership should be removed.

[–] fullsquare@awful.systems 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Fuck this clickbait title. It's no secret that no tears will be shed in Riyadh if something would happen to islamic republic leadership, and Saudis made this known recently https://www.axios.com/2026/01/31/saudi-us-strike-iran-kbs-trump

if you believed that "no saudi land or airspace will be used to attack Iran" was genuine i have a brigde to sell you

Your issue seems to be with statements from the Saudis that are included in the piece. They are not there for you to take them by their word, but to know what they have said on the matter. And it's basic journalism that you contact affected parties where possible and relevant, to give them a chance of a statement.

[–] fullsquare@awful.systems 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They could state it's Saudi right in the title

[–] adhd_traco@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

The article isn't about the Saudi quote pulled from news agency SPA, or about SA in general, though. It's, just as the title suggests, about the imminent threat of the US attacking Iran, as gathered from high-level sources.
