Yep, I'm sure this video is fine but not clicking the video and click bait with a click bait title.

The News is now 99% blatant click bait or subscription teasers. I think it's important to educate people on click bait, it seems so obvious to me but I get the impression that a lot of people don't know the difference. Usually when I do click on click bait is because it's something that I probably would have clicked on anyway.

When I'm using a News app I have to be strategic in what I click on otherwise I'll suddenly get inundated with junk or ads disguised as News because I accidentally tapped on something.

This video is actually not clickbait. The entire thing is exactly what the title describes.

It's kind of a dilemma for me. If media entities don't participate in clickbait, they'll simply lose market share to ones that do. But also, it's annoying as hell. I avoid it, not out of spite, but because why would I click on a video or article with a title and thumbnail that tells me absolutely nothing about the content?

It's a legit problem when I go back to reference something later and I can't find it because you actually can't search based on the content of the media itself, you have to somehow memorize the clickbait title.

You can’t even try tempering the tile because YouTube lets uploaded change the title and thumbnail to get better engagement. I noticed it with veritasium after they dropped their teflon video they changed the title and thumbnail while I was watching it

YT allows for A/B testing of titles and thumbnails but a couple hours later, that testing ends and the title remains the same.

Watch the video, it literally does a deep dive into Clickbait.

It comes from a genuine place, the creator doesn't want to use clickbait.
