You know I still wonder whether or not Trump actually knows how tariffs work. Sometimes it seems like he's grasped it and then he says "I am going to charge Canada a 50% tariff", sorry "Tariff", and I wonder, does he understand that he's charging American companies and not Canada and he's just saying it that way to convince his base who doesn't understand it, or does he really not understand?

Bombardier get decertified, all of their Dash-8/Q-*00 get grounded.
That is a stunning number of planes flown by US airlines.
Meanwhile, there's a fair chance that "not US" will be enough to convince a lot of global purchasers of business and small commuter jets to buy Bombardier over Gulfstream.
I have no objections.
The Canadian government should immediately stop all shipments of any gastop products to the U.S. for their military and civilian airlines. Their airlines would quickly be grounded and out of service.
You know, for Canadian national security.
