tbf, England has long been the leader of citizen surveillance, by far.
Physical surveillance yes, but I don't think anybody has NSA beat when it comes to digital surveillance.
From the 1980s, all phone, fax and internet traffic between Britain and Ireland was intercepted by RAF intelligence and run through automated keyword analysis to harvest intelligence about republicanism. Britain has been the world leader in signals intelligence for nearly a century. Much of the Snowden leaks pertained to intelligence gathering the NSA outsources to British intelligence.
And let's not forget all that CCTV surveillance kicking off since like the 1960s. There's an estimated 7 million surveillance cameras in that little country.
Lol, we already can't launch our own nukes, now we won't be able to move our own troops without US approval.
The idea of the UK not having a 'sovereign' nuclear deterrent is based on supply chain stuff.
There's nothing stopping us launching all our nukes if we wanted to, it's just that we'd have to order some bits in from outside of the country to replenish the missiles used to carry the warheads (which are made here). That's if any of the suppliers were still alive after we'd started nuclear Armageddon...

The political situation in the UK is doomed man. I have been ranting and raving at people to vote for third parties for-ever, and the closest we got was the 2010-2015 coalition fiasco. The only people voting for third parties are fascists who are adamant on getting ~~UKIP~~ ~~Farage~~ ~~Brexit party~~ "The reform party" 😉 in power.
And you know what, with Olukemi in charge of the conservatives, the racists are voting for the racist party with a white man in charge, not the racist party that allows minorities to have a sniff of power.
