for anyone looking for an activitypub alternative check out loops.video. based on the same tech as lemmy, piefed, mbin, mastodon, pixelfed, etc.

This is the only right answer.

Loops it is. If it’s not fedi it’s not for me.

So can I somehow use my lemmy account?

No, sadly. I think there was some cross over with pixelfed, as the creator makes both. But Simply using the same protocol is not enough to use the same log in. Some day in the utopic fediverse future, it could be that it seamlessly caries over, but we are still building that future.

You can't, but you could comment or "like" loops.videos if they come across your feed. I'm on mastodon and have seen a few come through. No need to even have an account on loops, the beauty of the fediverse.

Yeah turns out the general population doesn't like installing their social media from an apk or through TestFlight
