Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

Looks like a Nazi.

Acts like a Nazi.

Answers to obvious Nazis.

MUST be a Nazi.

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today 14 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm so tired of lefty anarcho terrorists seeing Nazi everywhere. They're just protecting your country

Obviou/sly

[–] zippyhippynm@lemmy.zip 11 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Wow! Thats funny! Because I’m tired of righties/anarchy/maga/nazis trying to normalize this shitshow. I’m tired of people with NO MORALS telling us what morals we should have.

If respecting human rights is lefty/anarcho/terrorists. Then absolutely! Better that than a worthless Nazi.

righties/anarchy/MAGA/nazis

One of these is not like the others...

I agree with your point but please don't equate anarchy (the absence of hierarchy) with the MAGA movement (a strict hierarchy of authority).

Perhaps you used it to mean chaos/disorder but that's not the definition of the word. Despite modern revisionism and dictionaries now stating so, but a common misuse in order to remove legitimacy from the concept.

[–] zippyhippynm@lemmy.zip 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Just to let you know. My son(24) is a full on anarchist. He believes in no laws, survival of the fittest, anti capitalism.

He supports MAGA as does his anarchist friends. They see MAGA as the quickest route to their goals. They see the chaos as motivators for the public to embrace removal of all authority. They see Trump as their new savior ushering in a world broken. Where they can do what they want without reservation or consequences.

[–] Zombie@feddit.uk 0 points 4 days ago

I'm sorry to say this, but your son is an idiot then and doesn't understand anarchism.

Anarchism is, of course, by its nature, a very broad term that covers many different views. But survival of the fittest isn't a tenet held by almost any anarchists. Support of fascism definitely isn't a tenet held by any anarchists.

No authority doesn't mean no consequences. If he intends to harm others then he can't be surprised when they enact harm upon him in response.

If he's inclined to read, there's many books available here which go into detail about various forms of anarchism:

https://theanarchistlibrary.org/special/index

Proudhon, Kropotkin, Graeber, Bookchin, and Goldman are some authors he could begin with.

Sadly we're all in a morally grey area. Because for some reason lefty/anarchy/dem people kinda tell that Ashli Babbitt murder was justified.

Instead of moralizing, one could've called for fully transparent investigations of police actions, but that's not how you mobilize the crowd

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today -3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Then you shouldn't go to primarily right wing platforms like clubhouse where they praise the execution of a "soyjack"

[–] zippyhippynm@lemmy.zip 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

WTF are you even going on about?

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago

It's a compulsive behavior I think. I'm trying to find any humanity left in them.

Are these the jackbooted government thugs Republicans used to warn about?

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

No he's a conservative, because he calls himself one! He must really love tradition and nothing else, that's what conservatism is all about, right? /j

[–] Airowird@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 5 days ago

He's conserving traditional fascism, for one.

[–] arsCynic@piefed.social 23 points 5 days ago

Not surprised in the slightest, but still, what the fuck? Grand Theft Auto is less deranged than this whole shit show.

[–] ArmchairAce1944@lemmy.ca 10 points 4 days ago

No shit. I haven't looked at German uniforms in detail for a long time but his coat just screamed Nazi at me so loud it could burst my eardrums.

[–] U7826391786239@lemmy.zip 18 points 5 days ago (1 children)

the actual nazis he idolizes would reject that douchebag just for looking like such a puckered sphincter

[–] hessenjunge@discuss.tchncs.de 12 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

On the contrary, the mofo fits right in:

Blond wie Hitler, groß wie Goebbels, schlank wie Göring und keusch wie Röhm.

Being unfuckable is a pretty solid trait among them.

[–] U7826391786239@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 days ago

good point. despite the unmatched pure fucking evil and unfuckability of all of the key assholes, i have to give hugo boss credit for nailing the aesthetic of ultimate authoritarian authority military uniforms, including "they've got little skulls on them" hats

[–] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Everyone's going off on the coat, but for me the haircut is what screams fascist.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 23 points 5 days ago

Everyone's going off on the coat, but for me the haircut is what screams fascist.

For me it's more the wanton violence and callous disregard for human life.

[–] Randelung@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Any look Nazis have is a Nazi look.

[–] MisterOwl@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago

Of course it does. Hitler is the Republican hero.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 days ago

Nazi wannabees dress like Nazi's?

Y'don't say!

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 5 days ago

If only they would also lable their own blue shirts finally as nazis...

[–] Iseja@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago (2 children)

I just want to know, how are you feeling non Trump US citizens with eveything that has happened so far? I can't even think of how I would react if my prime minister started spewing out even a quarter of the things Trump says or does. (not that the current government of Sweden is great)

[–] TacoButtPlug@sh.itjust.works 7 points 5 days ago

tired. very very tired.

[–] tux@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Tired, worried, so very very angry and so very very powerless and impotent. I can keep writing to my reps and getting form responses, but nothing I can do seems to matter.

The fucktards want us to become violent so they can escalate and seize power. Protests don’t seem to be doing anything besides give them more opportunities to murder more innocent people and I don’t have the power to affect the economy in any meaningful way.

It’s like watching a loved one destroy their life through drugs, you want and try so hard to get them help, but can’t force them to do anything. We’re at the part where they have ODed at least once and you hope it’s enough to get them to change their behavior but instead deep down you know they’ll be dead within a few years.

[–] Iseja@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Thank you so much for your insightful reply, the last part hits quite hard and gives me atleast a good idea of how it is on the other side of the pond. I really hope for all of yours sake that it gets better one way or the other.

[–] N0t_5ure@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago

A greatcoat worn by the senior US border patrol official Gregory Bovino, who has spearheaded aggressive immigration operations across the country, has raised eyebrows in German media with some commentators saying it resembled a fascist aesthetic.

Was the coat made by Hugo Boss?

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 days ago

I liken their behavior to Nazi too.

[–] krigo666@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

His last name in Spanish and Portuguese means 'bovine', as in bovine cattle.

[–] comrade_twisty@feddit.org 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Don’t insult the cows. Tbey have nothing to do with this Nazi fuck.

[–] krigo666@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

You're right, even the cows' dung is more useful and deserves more respect.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

That’s what he wants

[–] kbal@fedia.io 4 points 5 days ago

They do have a Nazi look, but it's mostly not produced by the clothes they wear. Today I found myself looking up how to spell "Sturmabteilung."
