Federal agents shot and killed a Minneapolis ICU nurse Saturday morning. By early afternoon, the White House had called him a terrorist. Within minutes, multiple videos surfaced that directly contradict the official account.

That contradiction is an enormous story unto itself.

On Jan. 24, federal law enforcement agents shot and killed Alex Pretti during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis. In the hours that followed, the Trump administration moved aggressively to frame the killing as a narrowly averted attack on law enforcement.

It’s difficult to watch the footage above and see Pretti creating fear in the half dozen ICE agents surrounding him, or the nearly dozen shots fired at Pretti being defensive, yet that’s exactly what Kristi Noem claimed.

Federal agents shot and killed a Minneapolis ICU nurse Saturday morning.

No they fucking didn't!!

They fucking pinned him down, beat him and executed him like a gang of criminals, unloading an entire clip into him.

"shot him" makes it sound like some innocent accident....

There is a lot of rules in media law about wording. I know the country is shit and the media isn't acting enough, but Trump has shown that he'll sue for less.

Like most of America, the press is afraid.

Just do what fox news does in designate it "opinion / entertainment" and fucking blast away

They showed mercy. He was armed and so they killed him in the most cowardly way

An out of control state sponsored terrorist group that openly recruits white nationalist extremists publicly executed a man exercising his right to peacefully protest and film “law” enforcement. If they are doing this while a crowd and multiple cameras are on them then they are doing much worse behind closed doors. These are lawless terrorists and this is tyranny

Gaslighting means a specific type of manipulation and i don't think this is it.

Nope, this is just bold faces lying. This is the Orwell quote embodied.

I've noticed that the NRA is, like, really, really quiet, too. Has anyone else noticed that?

They commented on the situation.

The NRA said in a post on X: “For months, radical progressive politicians like Tim Walz have incited violence against law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their jobs. Unsurprisingly, these calls to dangerously interject oneself into legitimate law-enforcement activities have ended in violence, tragically resulting in injuries and fatalities. As there is with any officer-involved shooting, there will be a robust and comprehensive investigation that takes place to determine if the use of force was justified. As we await these facts and gain a clearer understanding, we urge the political voices to lower the temperature to ensure their constituents and law enforcement officers stay safe.”

Gun Owners of America said: “We are saddened by the loss of life in Minneapolis, Minnesota earlier today during a federal law-enforcement operation. Because details remain limited and facts are still emerging, it is essential that the Justice Department conduct a complete, transparent, and prompt investigation so the public can fully understand what occurred and maintain confidence in the rule of law.

“Furthermore, we condemn the untoward comments of Bill Essayli. Federal agents are not ‘highly likely’ to be ‘legally justified’ in ‘shooting’ concealed carry licensees who approach while lawfully carrying a firearm. The Second Amendment protects Americans’ right to bear arms while protesting—a right the federal government must not infringe upon.

“Finally, the Left must stop antagonizing ICE and Border Patrol agents who are taking criminals off the streets and play a crucial role in protecting communities and upholding the rule of law.”

Of course. The Left is antagonizing ICE. It all makes sense now. 😮‍💨

The nra, constantly talking about the need for everyone to have guns to prevent tyranny.

Now government agents are doing illegal shit (kidnapping, assaulting, deporting legals, and outright murder) and all the of a sudden "citizens need to stop antagonising" is their reply? Because it's their thugs.

The bright side of all this horrific bullshit is that, assuming it's even possible to have fair elections in the future, you can immediately dismiss anyone on the right when they try to play the "moral superior" card as a justification for their bullshit

"but freedom of speech", "2nd amendment", "protect kids from pedofiles". Nah fuck of mate. You completely disregarded all of that when it was "once of you". You don't get to play that card anymore.

Yeah, this is just lies. Blatant lies, because again, anyone can watch the video and see what happened.
