Little will change for the better so long as the Liberal-Conservative tag team holds such complete dominance.

Don't forget to get your NDP membership (as low as $5) in order to vote for having a better choice the next election. The deadline is the next Wednesday.
Be sure to sign up using a throwaway email or get spammed to death. Learned that the hard way.
Haha, yeah. I think I first donated to a political party a decade ago. The spam is in my inbox. π These days I filter it and put it in a folder automaticallly. Recently switched to Proton Mail which has the ability to create throwaway email addresses on the fly but I haven't used that feature much.
Same here now lol, custom domain and all.
Anyways, oof. I watched the 1st leadership debate. Nobody was any good at public speaking which is quite dire. I'm going with Avi I guess.
Was that the one a few months ago?
Aye, the 2nd one I can't find without atrocious audio problems. I think there's a third soon so hopefully some of them got some public speaking training.
Cool. Yeah, I'm also looking forward to "the real" debate.
I honestly don't know who to vote for. I think I would be happy with any of the top three.
Get your membership now, decide who to vote at the debate. If you don't buy a membership by Jan 28, you won't be able to vote. If you still can't decide, well, you'll only be down 10$. It's like buying a future option, but for like socialist politics.
Exactly. My plan as well. When's the debate BTW?
That is true but they are not the same.
Why the fuck are so many young people too stupid to see through conservative lies?
It's not productive to call them stupid.
Very few learn from books, most learn from trusting someone's words. That's why you generally remember your favourite teachers and not your favourite classes or subjects.
These kids were taught to follow the doctrine, not because anyone actively took them in, but because there are very few of us to guide young folks through what we now know is soft propaganda, propaganda without a concrete agenda.
It happened to me as very young man to see Rush Limbaugh and think "he makes sense". Fortunately, my dad was there to get me to think about what was being said. It later happened to my own boys with some youtubers like Sargon of Akad. And I'm glad I was there to help them sort out the message from the delivery.
But there are so, so many kids out there with absolutely no guidance, eating anything on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
And women and girls aren't exempt from this, they are fed a constant stream of terrible information about what they should wear, how to behave, what their role is, etc. Women are in even greater danger, because truly strong role models are fewer for them and the messaging for girls is insidious and pervasive.
So if you find a young person who is starting to buy into the FUD conservative sources love to sling, don't call them stupid. Sit down with them and talk, be an alternative to the garbage.
This was more an exclamation of frustration at these numbers than any sort of name calling.
10/10, no notes on this reply. This is how I conduct myself in the real world. I just felt flabbergasted at seeing how strong conservative support is in the under 30 crowd.
100% I get it, it's really frustrating to hear people get led astray by the selfish world. Let's just keep at it.
I'd say lack of knowledge and they haven't lived the past.
I suspect there is also a factor of being terminally online on places like X and Ticktok
I liked the demographic breakdown... tho it doesn't tell us much that we didn't already know: Conservative party remains strong with uneducated Canadian men under 45.
That's how I read it. Uneducated and no real experience of the world makes you an easy target of grievance manipulation.
