FYI for anyone thinking of using this with your... catholic priest, Roman ghost friend, lawyer, ~~etm.~~ etc. et merda is not a real, historical latin phrase. It's just a translation of "and shit" into latin that doesn't have any historical usage.

That makes it even better

I'm here for new Latin slang, fun new ways of spicing up the written word, etm.

It's spoken daily in Brazil, didn't know we just use latin's 'shit' without any changes

But... if it can be translated, that it implies it existed in some capacity. 🤔

Depends what you mean, I suppose. It didn't exist as a phrase. The words "and" and "shit" existed, but not in the way stated in the screenshot in the post that this post is referencing.

Now, we could totally make it a thing in English using the Latin words. That's fine. Just don't expect your roman tax collecting ghost to understand you

Wait, you're telling me I have to deal with taxes after death, too!?

Only if you're roman. "Latine non loquor" and run, i guess

I wanted to use it but did my due diligence to see if it was real and came across this post of someone who thought the exact same way. https://retchlanguagenotebook.wordpress.com/2022/06/07/etm-b-s/
