Nah, they're homophones (spelled differently, but pronounced the same, with different meanings)
In Britsh English, there is very little difference in sound. If you undertook elocution lessons, then this tiny difference is known and practicticed. The majority of the English speaking world will hear no difference and pronounce with no difference.

Board: in this context a committee of executives, as in Board of Executives
Bored: lost interest or not engaged with something.
