Many of the hand stencils on Sulawesi use a technique to producing narrow fingers, which is unique to the area.  (Supplied: Ahdi Agus Oktaviana)normal

Tagging always was a thing it seems

While this ancient hand stencil found in Liang Metanduno is extremely faint, pointy fingers can be seen next to the more recent cave art.
