All things Death Metal.

You know what to do: spread gory rhapsodies, uncover hidden talents, share thoughts about the evolution of the genre.

Rules

Band - Song Title [Location, Year] [FFO: Band 1, Band 2, Band 3]

Example: Bolt Thrower - World Eater [England, 1989] [FFO: Benediction, Hail of Bullets, Memoriam]

FFO means “For Fans Of” and is not always needed, but can be very helpful in promoting lesser known bands.

MODERATORS

Arguably the most controversial album of their career, having taken a shit load of inspiration from Carcass. They were already influenced by their heroes in their demo days before, but this is the turning point which transformed their sound from goregrind into death metal.

I love this album personally, and my fav track on it is Death Walks behind you, however I will link from the beginning as the first real track after the intro rips as well!

Tidal, Bandcamp, RateYourMusic, Encyclopaedia Metallum

How you feel about this album is pretty much a litmus test on whether you're more of a grind or metal guy. That said, people who try to act like this is a total divorce from their grind influences are just insane.

Well said. I guess in general, you'd have to put genuine hard-fought effort to completely wash away any previous identity of any outputs, no matter who you are or what you do in art or what have you.

Happy to provide! I suppose I could do a "song.link" thingy, but I personally use Tidal, and want more ppl to use Tidal too >:D. Bandcamp is just super awesome for usually giving artists the biggest share of sales, and the last two for archival/knowledge/reviews.

Hell yeah! I also use tidal, lol, it is, or at least was when I was looking, the second best large ish streaming service for artists, and it absolutely demolishes junk like Spotify, YouTube, Apple, for paying out to artists.
